Custom Cakes, Weddings, & Events
Sometimes knowing whether you need a single tier or a multi-tier cake can be difficult. There are so many size guides online and honestly it ultimately depends on how you cut the cake.
Even these drawings that I did back in 2018 are not entirely accurate.
When we speak, please let me know the number of guests and I can help advise what might be the best size to go with to ensure you have enough for your guests.
Width and height also factor in. Keep in mind that a wedding cake slice and a “party” slice are completely different. Take a look below at the video to see how to slice a round cake.
Cupcakes and Macarons are another way to add more dessert/dessert options. You should always try to provide at least 2/3 of your guest with cake (for a wedding).
Keep in mind that Cupcakes are larger then a wedding cake slice and one dozen (12) cupcakes are equivalent to a 2 layer, 6 inch cake.
Below are a few examples of past cakes. Hopefully you can get an idea of size from these cakes and how many each can feed.
Ultimately, the number of slices you can get from a cake really depends on you or the person slicing the cake.
