Sugar Flowers

Sugar Flowers
Flowers
Sugar flowers are made from a sugar product called gumpaste. Our sugar flowers are edible and are made without gluten or animal products.
These flowers are an elegant addition to any cake and are often used for Wedding Cakes in place of live flowers.
Due to the seasonal availability of cut flowers and current shortages due to the pandemic, sugar flowers are a year round alternative to achieving the exact look you want with your favourite flowers.
Sugar Flowers
Making Art
Sugar flowers are my art. Each one is custom in size, shape and colour to fit each cake design and crafted by hand. They can take hours to get just right and I always strive to make them as realistic as possible. Can you tell which one(s) are reach and which one(s) are sugar in the photo?

There are advantages and disadvantages to both.
Sugar flowers offer full control over size, shape, and colours – even colours that are not naturally occuring. It also allows for flowers that are out of season. Sugar flowers are handmade and take a lot of time produce and are therefore more expensive. However, with the recent rise in flower prices since 2019 the price gap has become smaller.
Cut flowers are a less expensive option but you are limited to what is available at the time of ordering. Fresh flowers can wilt over time so it’s a good option depending on pickup/delivery, event time, and cake setup location.
For wedding setups with sugar flowers we highly recommend delivery and setup. Typically this is because there are more flowers and it’s better pack them separately and place them on tiered cakes at the venue.
For smaller events sugar flowers on cakes can be picked up and transported safely.
